Terms of service
The nature of the booking service, contract formation, payment, cancellation and liability, article by article.
In three lines
RIDICAR is a platform that arranges rentals from partner rental businesses in Vietnam. The rental contract itself is between you and the partner.
A booking goes request, card payment, payment approval, then the Company’s confirmation notice, and the contract is formed when that notice reaches you.
Cancellation and refunds follow the separate cancellation policy, and the governing law is the law of the Republic of Korea.
These Terms set out the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the Company and users, as well as the conditions and procedures for use, in relation to the RIDICAR service (the “Service”) operated by GACHION Co., Ltd. (the “Company”).
“Service” means all services through which the Company arranges and provides vehicle rentals from partner rental businesses in Vietnam so that users can make bookings.
“User” means members and non-members who use the Service under these Terms.
“Partner” means a local rental business in Vietnam that, in partnership with the Company, provides the actual vehicle rental and operation services.
“Booking” means a transaction in which a user requests a vehicle rental through the Service and which is formed upon the Company’s confirmation notice.
The Company posts these Terms on the Service screen so that users can review them.
The Company may amend these Terms within the scope that does not violate applicable laws, and upon amendment specifies the effective date and reason and announces them before the effective date.
If a user does not agree to the amended Terms, the user may terminate the use contract; continuing to use the Service after the effective date is deemed agreement to the amended Terms.
The Company is a platform that arranges vehicle rental transactions between users and Partners; the actual rental contract is formed between the user and the Partner. The Company is not a party to that rental contract.
As an intermediary for mail-order transactions, the Company does not guarantee the condition, operation, handover/return of vehicles, or the performance of local services by Partners; responsibility for such performance lies with the Partner.
However, the Company cooperates in good faith within a reasonable scope to support smooth booking and Korean-language consultation.
A booking proceeds in the order of ① the user’s booking request, ② the user’s card payment, ③ payment approval, and ④ the Company’s booking confirmation notice. Once payment is approved, the Company notifies the user of confirmation without delay.
A contract is not formed by the user’s booking request alone; the contract is formed when the Company’s booking confirmation notice reaches the user.
If the Company cannot confirm the booking after payment approval, for example because the vehicle has sold out, the Company informs the user immediately and either refunds the full amount paid or offers an alternative vehicle agreed by the user.
The Company may refuse a booking request or suggest alternatives in cases such as vehicle stock depletion, errors in submitted information, or operational reasons.
Service fees are calculated based on vehicle type, period, region, options, and the real-time exchange rate, and are based on the amount shown on screen before payment.
Amounts may change due to exchange-rate fluctuations, changes in local policy, and the like; if they change, the Company informs the user before confirmation.
Payment is made immediately by credit or debit card on the booking screen; a booking request without completed payment is not confirmed.
The Company charges only the amount shown on the booking screen. If the approved amount differs from the charged amount, the Company cancels the payment on the spot.
Cancellation and refund of bookings follow the separate cancellation and refund policy.
The actual refund amount and timing may vary depending on the Partner’s local rules, the refund procedure for each payment method, and foreign-currency exchange and remittance fees.
Users must provide accurate information when booking, and bear any disadvantage arising from inaccurate information.
Users must hold the qualifications required locally, such as a valid driver’s license and an International Driving Permit (IDP), to drive the vehicle.
Users must comply with local traffic laws and the Partner’s rental conditions, and bear any fines, penalties, accidents, or damages arising from violations thereof.
The Company strives to provide a stable service and protects users’ personal data in accordance with applicable laws and the privacy policy.
The Company makes reasonable efforts to promptly handle users’ legitimate opinions or complaints.
The Company is not liable for damages caused by events beyond its reasonable control, such as natural disasters, war, infectious disease, flight delays or cancellations, actions of local authorities, and communication or computer failures.
The Company is not liable for damages arising from causes attributable to a Partner or a user.
As an intermediary, the Company does not guarantee the quality, legality, or safety of the vehicles or services provided by Partners.
The Company’s liability for damages is limited, to the extent permitted by applicable law, to the amount the user actually paid to the Company for the relevant booking.
To the extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for indirect, special, or consequential damages or lost profits.
The Company strives to protect users’ personal data; matters concerning the collection, use, storage, and destruction of personal data follow the privacy policy.
The laws of the Republic of Korea govern these Terms and use of the Service.
In the event of a dispute between the Company and a user, it is resolved through mutual consultation; if consultation fails, the court having jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act is the court of first instance.
Even if some provisions of these Terms are invalid or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions is not affected.
Matters not stipulated in these Terms follow applicable laws and commercial practice.

Exact coverage follows the local contract you sign when you pick up the car.
Every car carries the compulsory third-party injury insurance (up to 150,000,000 VND per person, approx. 8.14M KRW) and own-damage insurance.
Own-damage insurance has no fixed ceiling. The insurer investigates the cause and fault, then decides how much of the repair it pays, and it may not be the full amount. A fixed claim fee of 500,000 VND (approx. 27,000 KRW) is charged to the customer per accident.
The Peace-of-Mind Guarantee is not insurance. It is RIDICAR paying, on your behalf, the amount the insurer does not cover, up to 4,000,000 KRW (approx. 74M VND) per accident and per rental in total. A customer deductible of 300,000 KRW (approx. 5.5M VND) still applies.
After an accident, do not move the car. Preserve the scene and notify our team and the local insurer immediately. Repairing or moving the vehicle before the insurer inspects it voids both the insurance payout and this guarantee.
Loss of use is calculated as days the car cannot be rented multiplied by the daily rate. The guarantee covers up to 3 days; anything beyond that is on the customer.
Not covered by the guarantee: damage to tires, side mirrors or similar single parts on their own, flood and water-hammer damage, normal wear, corrosion and mechanical failure. The local insurance excludes these as well.
The guarantee does not apply where the insurance itself is void: intentional damage, driving without a valid or matching licence, driving under alcohol or drugs, expired vehicle inspection, exceeding seating or load limits by 50%, serious traffic violations such as wrong-way driving or running a red light, failing to report or reporting late, leaving the scene, war and natural disaster.
KRW amounts are the settlement basis. VND figures are approximate and move with the exchange rate.
